Bad News - I'll live

The Daily Curmudgeon is late today on his blog post because of my yearly physical. Sharing bodily fluids and getting probed in places that shouldn't get probed unless dinner, drinks and a show are involved further crankifies the Curmudgeon.

They had trouble locating the Curmudgeon's heart and when they did they said it was two sizes too small and covered in ice. The Curmudgeon is also considering a lawsuit or second date for the way Doctor Ben Dover checked me out. The good news is I'll live and the bad news is that I'll be around for another 50 years to spread my crankiness throughout the world.

In other news...

In another example of how the bullies and crusaders are outing another "traitor" buried deep in our military, Bunnatine "Bunny" Greenhouse a U.S. Army contracting watchdog in the Pentagon is getting the full treatment. It's a must read for all of you out there who thinks things work in our government like they sang to you on Schoolhouse Rock. In short, she is responsible for awarding billions upon billions in taxpayers' money to private companies hired to resurrect war-torn Iraq and to feed, clothe, shelter and do the laundry of American troops stationed there. "She has asked many questions: Why is Halliburton - a giant Texas firm that holds more than 50 percent of all rebuilding efforts in Iraq - getting billions in contracts without competitive bidding? Do the durations of those contracts make sense? Have there been violations of federal laws regulating how the government can spend its money?" What has she gotten for her efforts to protect billions of taxpayers dollars? A demotion of course. And a poor performance rating and basically the end of her career and a first class ticket out of government. It may be a small story but its no better example of how the crusaders and bullies in charge run things. It also gets my newly doctor certified grade-A 106 over 74 blood boiling.
